Friday, September 27th our homecoming court was announced, which included Kendra Eckrich, Cale Berry, Addie Skow, Liam Carhoff, Owen Rosenberg, Ellery Sandersfeld, Brody Clubb, Olivia Webb, Kylie Koehn, Cale Nash, Hannah Gross, and Brock Hilsman. One of the week-long activities is Spirit Week which allows students to dress up according to the theme of the day, the themes included were Color Day, Senior Citizen Day, Pink Out for Breast Cancer Awareness, Country vs Country Club, and lastly CCA Day which saw people wearing anything CCA related. Clipper Olympics consisted of many activities like a pie eating contest, balloon popping, relays, and Thursday, October 3rd, we held our annual homecoming parade which saw many floats like the YSF football team, Middle School football team, Freshman/Varsity football team, FFA, Seniors, Senior parents, Court corvettes, cheerleaders, and many more, and our homecoming court was announced to the community on the football field shortly after.

Friday, October 4th we held our Clipper Olympics which consisted of many activities such as Hungry Hungry Hippos, Hula Hoop arm race, Balloon Battle, Sour candy eating challenge, and a three-legged race, which was followed up later in the afternoon with a impressive win from both the freshman and varsity football teams with the scores being 56-42, and 56-0. The homecoming dance includes lots of fun, loud music, friends, and overall getting dressed up. And don't get me started about homecoming dress up days. They are so inclusive and funny. Mrs. Moore and the leadership crew did an amazing job this year planning them. On behalf of the student body, the Anchor staff would also like to congratulate Kylie Koehn and Cale Berry for winning homecoming court king and queen.

The Homecoming dance was a great night. There was good music and just a bunch of people. If you went with a date or a friend it was even more fun. The whole idea of homecoming is so much fun; pictures, dinner, the getting ready process, finding a date, and going to homecoming. It's all so much fun and it was all so fun. The theme this year was Tangled, which allowed everyone to get tangled up in the Homecoming 2024 spirit.
