Nicole Beckley may as well be a secret agent because she has seen it ALL. Mrs. Beckley has been teaching for nearly 18 years; she taught art for four years at Columbus Junction Community School District, three years she taught English in Japan, and she has taught art for 11 years now through Clear Creek Amana. She has taught at the North Bend, Amana, and Tiffin elementaries, the middle school, and now she is teaching for the first time at the high school. Including myself, Mrs. Beckley has had many of the same students throughout elementary, middle, AND high school. She loves getting to make and share creativity with others. She loves being there to witness students have their “aha” moments—when they realize they CAN do something and their body language changes. One of Mrs. Beckley’s favorite memories as an art teacher is when a kindergartener drew a picture of Nicki Minaj and told her to “get with the program.” Clear Creek Amana is so very thankful to have had and to continue to have Mrs. Beckley teach us.
