Girls Wrestling

Our girls wrestling program continues to grow each year. With more athletes joining our roster and returning girls gaining valuable experience, this year’s team is ready to bring strong competition to the mat. The girls first meet will take place at Sigourney High School on the 18th of November. Much later into the season, the girls will have their WAMAC Conference. It’ll be held in Vinton-Shellsburg this year against eleven other teams. Between their first meet and conference, the wrestlers will have plenty of time to sharpen their skills and test their abilities! Good luck wrestlers, and try your best!

Boys Wrestling

Although boys wrestling comes up a bit later than girls wrestling, two standout Senior wrestlers here at CCA have become familiar faces on and off the mat: Aidan and Dylan Schrock. Last year, CCA finished second place at districts. Within that, both Aidan and Dylan won second. Being in their final year this season, the Schrock twins will help in setting the tone for Junior and underclassmen wrestlers. Both have built impressive high school wrestling careers, and we look forward to seeing them—and all of our Senior wrestlers—to finish off their high school career on a good note! You can expect to see the boys wrestling team as a whole to enter this season with determination and wins!
