Senior Colin Root feels that the season has had a nice start, and is looking forward to the rest of the season. Colin Root, one of the two seniors on the boys varsity team was kind enough to share his journey with basketball. Root started playing basketball in second grade through the Tiffin rec league. His interest for basketball was found from playing casually with his friends during recess. From then on, Colin has stuck with it and made it a big part of his life. Colin shared that his biggest inspiration is his dad, mainly because he is always there for him, and  always pushes him to do more.  Colin has built a  strong bond with  many of his teammates, and mentioned that he enjoys listening to music with the team before a game. Out of his many years of basketball, he also mentioned one of his favorite memories being from his sophomore year. “We had just got done with a shootaround and had time to kill,” he says. “The team went out as a group to breakfast at Perkins before the Liberty game.” Although he has thoroughly enjoyed playing basketball, he says he does not see himself playing in the future outside of casual time with friends. Lastly, he shared that he feels it has been and will continue to be a great season. “The season has been great, I like all of my teammates and coaches, and I think that it will continue to be a good season.”
