Soccer season is on the horizon. Leading up to the season, CCA athletes have been training hard, working out, and engaging in team building activities. As the weather gets nicer day by day, soccer players prepare themselves to get back in the game. Right now, our athletes are gearing up for the great season ahead of them.

One of the hard working members of our girls’ soccer team, Keira Rosenberg, shares with us why soccer is her passion. Keira, a sophomore, has played soccer for fourteen years. Sticking with something for that long takes serious dedication, but dedication is exactly what Keria has. She works hard to overcome any challenges she faces in the game and is always collecting feedback from others to improve herself. When something goes wrong in a game, Keira talks to teammates around her and thinks things through so that she can do better. Her commitment to improving herself is very admirable. Keira’s soccer career has not gone without support. She credits the people surrounding her for her commitment to the sport. Without the support and love of her friends and family, Keira says she would not be able to continue playing. One year, when Keira planned to quit soccer, her coaches and teammates encouraged her to continue playing, which led to her playing an amazing season. This experience along with her teammates, friends, and coaches have changed the way she views soccer and are the reason for her passion and determination. Keira feels that soccer has made her more confident, dedicated, and it has given her more of a sense of belonging.

To the people around her, Keria says “I would like to thank all of my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have given me support, encouragement, and guidance. You have made me a better player and person on and off the field.“
