CCA VOLLEYBALL WENT TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to the CCA girl's volleyball team on a successful season. The volleyball season has just come to an end, but during their season the team won a total of 37 out of the 48 games, including the conference and state games. While the girls' volleyball team did not win at the state game, they made a substantial attempt, winning 2 out of 5 sets.

With the volleyball season officially ending, head volleyball coach Jackie Clubb has some final words she would like to share. When it came to the strengths that the volleyball team possessed, Clubb said it was their "ability to adapt to a new team." This was shown through the team being able to work well together. Along with that, Clubb stated that one of the team’s greatest weaknesses was that they were young. Considering that this is their main weakness, something that can only be changed with time, the volleyball team is doing relatively well for themselves. Lastly, Clubb would like to share her hopes for the volleyball team next season. She says that she, and the rest of the team are “looking forward to performing well next season." This should be accomplished easily with all the experience that was gained this year. 

In addition to Coach Clubb's feedback, senior volleyball player Kylie Koehn would like to share her experience with this being her last high school volleyball season. Koehn in general said that while she was sad that this was her last season, it was still "a very fun season." Even though the volleyball team lost their match at the state tournament, “making it to the state tournament was such a big accomplishment." This echoes the fact that even though you may not win, for example, a game at a state tournament, the work that it took for you to get there is still a great achievement in itself. 

Overall, the CCA girls volleyball had a successful season. They won a majority of their games even though not everyone believed in them due to the seniors who left last year. The volleyball team proved those people wrong. To end on a good note, I once again would like to give a big congratulations for all that the cca volleyball girls achieved. Go volleyball!
