FFA'S SUCCESS AT THE 97TH ANUAL STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

On April 13 2025 Clear Creek Amana FFA members traveled to Ames Iowa for The 97th Annual State Leadership Conference. Over 50% of The CCA FFA chapter competed in various leadership development activities. Activities were, Chapter POA, Biotechnology, Ag Sales, Marketing Plan, Greenhand Quiz, Reporters Scrapbook, Chapter Display and Massing of the flags. Students prepared for many months to prepare for the State FFA convention.

Our Chapter President Hannah Gross was elected State Reporter! Hannah spent many hours working on her application, interview skills, and speech. On April 9th Hannah and all of the state officer applicants traveled to Ames for their first round interviews. Then on Tuesday April 15th Hannah was balloted along with one other State reporter applicant. Both candidates gave a two minute speech and answered questions. From there the voting delegates voted for the candidate they believed was best fit for the position of State Reporter. Tuesday evening Hannah Gross was announced 2025-2026 Iowa State FFA Reporter! Hannah is the first State officer from Clear Creek Amana! From our Advisor Mrs. Amelon “I am so proud of her! Hannah’s efforts to make her dream come true have been nothing short of excellent!”
Several Clear Creek Amana students competed at State. The Chapter POA team of Olivia Webb, Courtney Williams and Della Roehler earned at Gold at state and placed 4th! These members worked hard to create a slideshow presentation showcasing all of the amazing chapter bonding activities, community service projects, and more! The Biotech team earned a Gold and placed 9th! The team consisted of Jackson Arndt, Avery Evans, Sadie Hebl and Sydney Pfeiffer. Over the course of 2 hours members took a test on their biology skills, identified common things used in biotechnology and completed a team practicum solving a problem in Agriculture. The Ag Sales team consisted of Sophie Christensen, Kelsey Leathers, Tate Riggan and Kyle Vogel, they earned a silver! Members took an individual test and completed a sale with a customer. Then the team did a sale to prospective customers showcasing the features and benefits of their product. The Marketing Plan team was Gretchen Kruse, Adalyn Meyer and Taylor Vittetoe. They earned a gold Marketing their honey product to a panel of judges. Members created a slideshow presentation and a market analysis of their product to present to the judges. 2 members took the Greenhand quiz, this is a quiz for only first year members over basic knowledge of FFA. Audrey Bulecheck earned a bronze and Abbi Siewert earned a silver. Our Reporter Sydney Pfeiffer created a scrapbook showcasing all of the amazing activities CCA FFA does in a year, Sydney earned a gold and placed 2nd! Amanda Mcdowell created a display board that explains one of CCA’s largest activities- Kirkwood Livestock judging, Amanda’s board earned a gold! Liam Carhoff represented Clear Creek Amana in Massing of the Flags. Students grew themselves not only as individuals but leaders for tomorrow! We are very proud of everyone's successes in the Clear Creek Amana FFA chapter!
