IT'S TIME FOR A SPRING BREAK

Annually in the United States there is a vacation towards the end of March called Spring Break. This break  typically lasts from 1 to 2 weeks depending on where it is occurring. Spring Break takes away stress during or towards the end of the school year. Most vacations during Spring Break are going to other countries, visiting family, going to the beach and hanging out with family and friends. This break was named after the mid semester vacation period at the very beginning of spring, and the very end of the astronomical winter. The beginning of spring varies between March 20 to 25 of each year. Meteorological spring begins on March 1. The end of meteorological winter is either February 28 or 29 on leap years. According to many sources the state of Florida is a vacation hotspot for many people all across the world.

Most people go to the East Coast for warmer weather and parties. Although Spring Break is in March, in Florida, Spring Break can be from late February to April. Oftentimes, partying can get out of chaos and police are often called to break up the fights that occur during the parties. The temperatures during Spring Break in Florida range from the 70s to the mid 80s and sometimes even the low 90s. In Iowa, Spring Break temperatures range between the 50s and 70s, but mostly in the high 40s to high 60s.

The second most popular vacation spot is still in Florida, but it is in the city of Fort Lauderdale, a city of almost 200,000 people. It, along with Orlando, are magnets for vacationers from anywhere in the world. More than two million people visit Florida each year for Spring Break with most people coming from the neighboring states of Georgia and Alabama. Most of the percentage of the vacationers are college students, with around 40% being college students and the more than 50% are either kids under seventeen or adults older than twenty five. Most people arrive in Florida during the last 3 weeks of March and early April. Miami is another tourist spot for vacationers. 

It is a city of almost 500,000 people. Miami is known for its beaches and sunny temperatures between the 70s and 80s, providing nice calm weather and tropical environments.
