PLANKTON'S TAKEOVER

Deep deep down in the depths of Bikini Bottom, Plankton gets his own movie with his voice actor being the same as his previous voice actor in the show, “SpongeBob SquarePants”. Along with Plankton's wife, Karen also remained with her voice actor. The other main underwater inhabitants are also in this movie like Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs. In addition these characters all kept their original voice actors as well. This movie kicks it off with the classic french narrator beginning a song with SpongeBob singing. This is an aspect throughout the movie, due to it being a comedy musical.

After Plankton plots to steal the Krabby Patty formula per usual, he is soon interrupted by Mr. Krabs and fails. Although this is a musical, it takes a turn of events because Karen, Plankton's wife, plots to take over the world just as Plankton was previously doing. This leads to a split in all of Karen's personalities and introduces her three alter egos, Super Snarky Karen, Super Smart Karen, and finally Super Evil Karen. This is where Karen starts singing. I honestly am enjoying the switch between the story of the movie and the musical because while the characters are singing, the movie is actually progressing and the music is almost just in the background while stuff goes on. After she is done singing she steals the Krusty Krab with Patrick still remaining within. Karen begins to magnetise everything throughout Bikini Bottom. While all of this is happening, SpongeBob hypnotizes Plankton where Plankton explains how he actually met Karen, and Mr. Krabs, Squidward and a bunch of other fish attempted to fight off the Karen hydra but they failed.

With Bikini Bottom at its end, SpongeBob and Plankton take their chances with the original Karen that Plankton made to fight the Hydra Karen, this soon takes a turn when she makes an alliance with the Hydra. At this point in the movie I am truly enjoying the plot that this movie builds with explaining how Plankton finally got to where he is in life and how it took a turn with his marriage with Karen. This really shows a different perspective of plankton showing how he was vulnerable around Karen before becoming obsessed with the Krabby Patty Secret Formula. Soon after the two fail to fight off the Hydra, Spongebob goes on his own to meet up with the Gal Pals which includes the notorious Mrs. Puff, Pearl, and Sandy. Plankton returns to Spongebob and the whole group rounds up to go and bring the fight to Karen. At the time of making it into the ginormous Karen bot, the group realized that the bot was Bikini Bottom stacked upon itself which includes the Krusty Krab and it came to a surprise when they all found Patrick out of all people stuck in the Krusty Krab while all of this was happening.  

  They then all go on to find Karen and finally restore what made her, her. When meeting up with them, the Gal Pals stay and fight the Hydra while Spongebob and Patrick go on to find the room where the bot is being powered. Meanwhile, Plankton is on a mission for redemption from Karen. Soon after he met with her she had revealed that she had what he was looking for for 25 years on end, the Secret Formula. Fortunately for Plankton he was able to talk his way through it and finally got his wife back. But instead of trying to get her to stop, he joined her attempt to succeed in world domination. 

They then all go on to find Karen and finally restore what made her, her. When meeting up with them, the Gal Pals stay and fight the Hydra while Spongebob and Patrick go on to find the room where the bot is being powered. Meanwhile, Plankton is on a mission for redemption from Karen. Soon after he met with her she had revealed that she had what he was looking for for 25 years on end, the Secret Formula. Fortunately for Plankton he was able to talk his way through it and finally got his wife back. But instead of trying to get her to stop, he joined her attempt to succeed in world domination. Although Plankton has shown a lot of good parts to him throughout the movie, he truly seems like he is always going to pick the side of the situation that is going to benefit him. On top of that, Plankton's plans were soon ruined once again due to Spongebob and Patrick, since the bot ran off of potatoes and Patrick has a very hungry personality he made it work and helped with the destruction of the power source.

Finally, coming to the end of the movie Mr. Krabs is returned to the Formula, Bikini Bottom is restored, Plankton and Karen are for their actions and the town of Bikini Bottom lives another day.  

Overall I enjoyed watching the movie. I’m pretty sure that I would recommend this for anyone who has possibly enjoyed Spongebob (past tense) or if you enjoy it now, for families, and overall just a good movie to enjoy with people around you.
